Kartikey stands for the Lord's aspect that is conqueror of All evil in the universe. Consequently, He was sought after for His help to conquer demons (representing evil) persecuting the universe. The ability to conquer All evil presupposes All knowledge. Consequently He is appropriately considered as Lord Shiva's son. Shri Kartikey Swami is also known as Shri Muruga. The Lord, when invoked as Kartikey Swami, blesses devotees giving protection and destroys all enemies within (in ones psychological makeup). The Vedic installation ceremony was performed on July 1 through July 3, 2000. The Deity is named Pranava Kartikey and installed with consorts Devasena and Valli.
