Saraswati stands for the Lord's aspect that is the power of All learning (Vidya) and knowledge in the universe. Because of the power aspect the deity is feminine. Saraswati stands for tranquility and consequently the color white is attributed to Her. Her blessings are invoked before undertaking any learning. She is also known as Sharada. The Lord, when invoked as Goddess Saraswati, blesses devotees with all learning and the ultimate understanding of the universal oneness. The Vedic installation ceremony was performed on July 5, 1998.
